New Nature Trail
Boards Installed

As part of Wykeland and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s partnership to improve the biodiversity and ecological value of Bridgehead Business Park, new interpretation boards have been installed along the 1km woodland nature trail.

The boards have been designed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to provide not only information on the woodland habitat and the wide variety of wildlife that walkers might expect to see but also on the history of the area and the construction of the Humber Bridge.

Harriet Linfoot, Development Officer for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust said “We’ve been really pleased with the progress at Bridgehead over the summer. Our planned works over the winter will include removing some trees and creating a glade within the woodland which will further benefit woodland floor plants and butterflies in particular.”

“We want to engage with Bridgehead businesses, employees and the local community generally. These new interpretation boards are an important stepping stone in raising awareness of what the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Wykeland are doing to improve the natural environment and want to achieve at Bridgehead.”
