New Restaurant Proposed Next To Bridgehead

Leading pub retailer and brewer Greene King has recently submitted a planning application for a new restaurant adjacent to Bridgehead Business Park after seeking the views of the local community as part of a pre-application consultation.

If approved, the plans for a new Farmhouse Inn will provide a complementary facility for staff and visitors to the Business Park, as well as offer an enhanced family dining choice for the nearby local communities of Hessle, Anlaby, Kirk Ella and Willerby. The restaurant could open in early 2016. Greene King say the new restaurant would offer a relaxed environment to socialise after work and business-friendly facilities, such as free Wi-Fi, would make it a great place for informal business meetings or working lunches. The restaurant would offer a comprehensive menu including a choice of traditional and modern dishes, a daily carvery and homemade desserts. The emphasis will be on good quality, good value British food. Peter Hebblethwaite, business unit director for Farmhouse Inns, said:

“We are excited to be bringing forward plans for a new Farmhouse Inn at this location. We think that this new restaurant could provide real benefits for Bridgehead Business Park, offering a new facility for staff and visitors and making it more attractive to businesses looking to locate there.”

The new restaurant would create around 75 jobs. These would be in a range of roles, from kitchen staff to management, and it is Greene King’s policy to employ local people in all positions, where possible.
