Local Contractor wins Meltonwest’s first construction contract

CR Reynolds to undertake construction.

Wykeland is pleased to announce that East Yorkshire contractor CR Reynolds has won the contract to construct the infrastructure at Meltonwest. Out of a short-list of 5 contractors the Melton based construction company won the tender process to the delight of it’s Managing Director Chris Reynolds; “This is a prestigious development right on our doorstep and we are delighted to have won the first contract and hope that this will be the first of many”.

CR Reynolds will build the 550 m road to an adoptable standard together with cycle paths, foot paths and foul and surface water drainage. The work will start in the New Year and is likely to last approximately 9 months, and once completed the site will have approximately 45 acres of land accessible and serviced ready for development.

Dominic Gibbons of Wykeland commented “We have always been proud of our long standing track record of working with local businesses in satisfying their property needs and this is further enhanced when we are able to instruct local firms to undertake the construction itself. CR Reynolds beat competition from very reputable local and national contractors and with their proven deliverability we had no hesitation in selecting them to undertake this project.”
