Hull’s tech campus. A centre for business excellence and creativity.
An old dry dock from Hull’s rich maritime heritage repurposed into a digital, tech and innovation hub at the heart of Hull’s Fruit Market. There’s space for dining and relaxing too.
C4DI (Centre for Digital Innovation) and the surrounding campus have created a hotbed of business activity in Hull. Established companies, entrepreneurs, startups and creatives are proud to work from this sought after location. C4DI helps big businesses innovate and small businesses to grow.
A sensational view
The @TheDock tech campus is perched on the west bank of the river Hull, where it meets the Humber. The main C4DI building, with its distinctive modern architecture, has a view like no other over the estuary and The Deep attraction, which is only a moments walk away.
Serving as an integral part of the Fruit Market redevelopment, also conducted by Wykeland in partnership with Hull City Council and Beal Homes, @TheDock provides employment and an attractive place to work. On its doorstep is the popular Humber Street which has plenty to see, do, eat and drink throughout the week.
Innovation in Hull
Hundreds of businesses are based at or connected to @TheDock tech campus. There’s market leading payment tech provider Dojo, multinational firm Saab Technologies, local established firms like Vertual and Summit Media, as well as countless startups and innovative tech businesses, ranging from sole traders to SMEs.
C4DI offers ultrafast internet connectivity at its world class facility which also includes a co-working space, meeting rooms and a media and conferencing suite. Partnerships with the Barclays Eagle Labs network and a number of multinational firms have also contributed to its status as a centre of business excellence.
The final building on the campus will open in 2023, expanding the capabilities and offering more sustainable office space. It will have a Net Zero EPC rating, BREEAM Very Good, PV panels, a green roof and EV charging points.
Work and play sustainably
Day and night, we come alive
@TheDock is not just about work though. Popular eateries Nibble, Next Door and Bert’s Pizzeria are frequented by visitors from around the region and the open air amphitheatre style performance space, Stage@TheDock, that sits above the old dry dock hosts dance, drama and music performances throughout the year.
It’s also worth mentioning the sustainable capabilities the old dry dock underneath offers, especially its reed beds. This serves as a surface drainage feature which discharges 100% surface water via natural soakways and contributes to Wykelands biodiversity strategy.
